I am a multidisciplinary artist who combines lens based visual language with poetic writings. It all starts from the reflection on personal experiences. There various methods of journaling are my tool to figure out ideas, thoughts and themes. Recently, I found myself lost in the achievement and abundance driven western, contemporary world. Feeling of disconnection rose my interest in the formation of one’s perception to lived experience. So, my current research is based on the philosophy of process: learning to emerge in duration, flow and constant change versus focusing on fixed goals and results. That’s why within my practise, I am exploring how to depict elusive feelings and states of beings. It starts from observing and capturing the ordinarity of dailiness. By layering, cutting, scratching, (re) scanning 35 mm negatives I create visuals which stand in between reality and imagination. Practise of rewriting my journal pages allows me to create personal, however, abstract texts. So, by using these methods in my last book I turned the documentation of my nomadic travels into a poetic, but personal and relatable story. This and other works leave space for audience to interpretate and invites them to reflect on their perceptions and experiences
